Fraxinus pennsylvanica, the green ash or red ash, is a species of ash native to eastern and central North America, from Nova Scotia west to southeastern Alberta and eastern Colorado, south to northern Florida, and southwest to Oklahoma and eastern Texas. Green ash is an adaptable native tree planted in both conservation and home settings. It makes an attractive, fast-growing shade tree. Green ash can grow to 70 feet (21 m.) Tall and 40 feet (12 m.)
