Japandi speaks of a return to origins, to natural beginnings. It is characterized by tactilely pleasant natural textures: untreated light and dark wood, natural stone, concrete. Another prerequisite is a functional and ergonomic layout, where there is nothing unnecessary. Intentional emptiness creates a sense of freedom. From Japanese wabi-sabi to japandi also passed on a fascination for the beauty of imperfection, so the focus is on things that can tell a story through cracks and scuffs, and objects created by hand. Everything in the interior aims to create balance and give rest to a mind satiated with impressions in the digital age.
