ROMA is a coffe table designed by Architect Emanuela Petrucci to celebrate the city of Rome by the use of a local material eternally classic such as the city. The slabs are cut from a unique travertine block. Cutting the block horizontally gives the slab a nuvolato texture, used for the top piece. Cutting the block vertically you can see the layers of the calcareous stratification of the stone. The Architect's idea is to give travertine a light appearance. The three pieces are assembled only by gravity with an interlocking connection and with no need of glues or chemicals. When the slabs are disassembled, they come in a 50cm width box. The use of the curve generates two completely different elevation views.
