Betula ermanii, or Ermans birch, is a species of birch tree belonging to the family Betulaceae. It is an extremely variable species and can be found in Northeast China, Korea, Japan, and Russian Far East. It is a fast growing deciduous tree, sometimes multi-stemmed, with an open, upright habit. Its leaves turn yellow before they fall in autumn. Its branches are red / cream in color. You as a landscape architect may find Betula ermanii useful as a specimen tree with attractive winter bark.
