This plant is originally from countries surrounding the Mediterranean sea, where olive oil is used for nearly ever recipe. Here in the Netherlands, the olive tree is especially popular for its elegant appearance, its soft green leaves and the fact that the tree remains green even during wintertime. Do try and protect it from snowfall and in case it's freezing for multiple days in a row. The olive tree is quite low maintenance. Other than that, the Olive tree loves light. Place it in a sunny or very light spot.
