The flooded past

Have you ever thought about what will be left of human traces in the future? I imagined the latter being nothing more than ancient memories hidden at the bottom of the ocean. Because no matter how hard we will fight it, one day, nature will be taking over everything we have worked for, by absorbing it gradually into its own 'skin'.

The image depicts the discovery of the past in the remote future and takes inspiration from the magnificent groundwater pool of Gran Cenote in Tulum.
