With the METRO chair Mia wanted to make a simple yet comfortable wooden chair suitable for many types of rooms, contexts and styles. Light, shadow and simple shapes create a contemporary look, exploring a new take on a classic chair type. Looking out the studio window at a constructions site of the new Copenhagen metro line the name came naturally, emphasizing an urban quality. The METRO chair is characterized by the organic curved armrests and the back legs, which in an elegant way also serves as a comfortable backrest support.
